I thought about making this post last night. I don't want to make any depressing post in my own journal, because for the past 3 weeks I've been having some sort of bad karma that is really putting me down.

But that's just a subject for another post, or maybe for twitter.

I wanted to make this post because, I don't know if you've heard any news about what's going on in Venezuela these days. My lovely alice_bunny poked me a few days ago concerned of whether I was ok or not, because she watched some news about Venezuela. I think a civil war might break anytime soon if things don't calm out and I'm not even sure if that would be the worst case scenario.

The thing is, for the past three weeks or so, there has been a lot of manifestations and riots in a lot of cities in Venezuela called out by university students. One of the worst ones have been happening here in Mérida and I haven't had classes ever since everything started. Hell, I've barely left the house only to buy food since everything started. We live in fear and craziness with everything happening around us, and we can't even go back to Maturín.

I wanted to ask you all a favor, and that's the reason behind this post. I don't know how many of you would comply, but I wanted to give it a shot. Even if I don't agree with violence, I do agree with the manifestations happening here. Venezuela is practically at the edge of an economical, social and just general breakdown and that has to change. Maduro has to go. ASAP. I would really appreciate if you share a picture of you with a message of encouragement for my friends out there, fighting for our rights. It can be anything, even just the flag of Venezuela or a simple "You're not alone". Anything. We're using the tag #SOSVenezuela and I would love if you did too, and include in your message where you're from so people in here know you are watching over us and this doesn't stop until Maduro is gone.

If you do this for me, I'd really appreciate it. From the bottom of my heart.
